Job summary

Unknown Company seeks an experienced finance leader to spearhead Group Finance across multiple subsidiaries. The role reports to senior leadership and offers high-visibility influence over strategy, growth, and performance.

You will oversee consolidated reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, controls, and strategic investments, partnering with executives to drive commercial decisions and governance across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong background in consolidated reporting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A.
• Commercial, business-partnering mindset beyond technical accounting.
• Exposure to diverse environments (property development, construction, hospitality, retail, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in a listed company environment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with senior/stakeholder communication at Board level.

Responsibilities

• Lead Group Finance across subsidiaries, set standards and guide finance managers.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Management and Board.
• Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Partner with business leaders to assess performance and profitability.
• Oversee liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships.
• Maintain robust internal controls and manage audit relationships.
• Evaluate new projects and capital decisions with financial modelling.
• Prepare and present insights to Senior Management and Board.

Our client, a public-listed company with operations spanning multiple business units and subsidiaries from retail, property to hospitality, is looking for an experienced finance leader to take charge of its Group Finance function. This is a senior, high-visibility role reporting into the top of the organisation, where you'll shape how the business understands its numbers and makes decisions.

You'll be the trusted financial voice in the room — someone senior leadership and the Board can turn to for clarity, insight, and sound judgement. If you're looking for a role where your financial leadership directly influences strategy, growth, and performance across an entire group, this is it.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading Group Finance – Oversee the finance function across all subsidiaries, set consistent standards and processes, and guide a team of finance managers and their teams.
• Driving reporting and insight – Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycle for Management and the Board, and turn financial data into clear, actionable business insight.
• Owning budgeting and forecasting – Lead the annual budgeting process, maintain rolling forecasts, and provide sharp variance analysis that keeps the business on track.
• Partnering with the business – Work alongside business leaders to assess performance, profitability, and new initiatives, bringing financial rigour to commercial decisions.
• Managing cash and working capital – Oversee liquidity, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and funding requirements across the group.
• Strengthening controls and compliance – Maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting and statutory requirements, and manage the audit relationship.
• Supporting strategic investment – Evaluate new projects, investments, and major capital decisions, including feasibility studies and financial modelling.
• Advising senior stakeholders – Prepare and present financial insights directly to Senior Management and the Board.
• Building the finance team – Develop capability, structure, and succession within the finance function, fostering a high-performing, accountable team culture.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong background in consolidated reporting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A.
• Commercial, business-partnering mindset that goes beyond technical accounting.
• Exposure to property development, construction, hospitality, retail, investment, or similarly diverse business environments is a plus.
• Experience within a listed company environment is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with excellent stakeholder communication at senior and Board level.
• Open to consider someone at senior manager position, willing to take their career further.
