Job summary

New Hoong Fatt Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting across the Group, including overseas subsidiaries. You will lead the team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making.

The role requires hands-on expertise in treasury, budgeting, and internal controls, with the ability to collaborate with regional stakeholders and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA is preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, regional or group exposure advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of finance and accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and closing.
• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and statutory statements.
• Consolidate group accounts including overseas subsidiaries in compliance with standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, banking relations, and funding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements across entities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions across the Group, including overseas subsidiaries. The role requires a commercially minded finance professional with strong technical accounting capabilities, treasury experience, and the ability to work closely with regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, financial reports, and statutory financial statements.
• Consolidate group accounts, including overseas subsidiaries, in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage group cash flow, banking facilities, and treasury functions.
• Monitor funding requirements and optimize cash management across local and overseas entities.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions on banking matters, trade facilities, foreign exchange exposure, and financing arrangements.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the Group.
• Track budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.
• Support strategic planning and financial modelling initiatives.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements across all entities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant authorities.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, policies, and financial governance processes.

Overseas Subsidiaries Oversight

• Oversee the finance operations of overseas subsidiaries and coordinate with local finance teams and external service providers.
• Ensure consistency in financial reporting, accounting practices, and compliance standards across the Group.
• Support regional business expansion and cross-border finance matters where required.

Team Management & Process Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies within the finance function.
• Participate in ERP/system implementation and enhancement projects when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably with regional or group-level exposure.
• Experience handling the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions independently.
• Prior exposure to overseeing overseas subsidiaries and treasury functions is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, taxation, and corporate finance practices.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
