Job summary

SGET Pte Ltd. is seeking a capable finance professional to support financial planning and cost accounting for our manufacturing operations in Malaysia. The role focuses on cost data collection, variance analysis, and budgeting across production lines.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting and 2–4 years of executive-level experience, with familiarity in SQL Accounting/Kingdee and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, or related field.
2–4 years of executive-level accounting or finance experience.
Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred; audit firm experience considered.

Responsibilities

Assist in gathering and preparing financial data to support financial planning and operations.
Monitor tax updates and industry trends for management review.
Handle day-to-day manufacturing cost accounting: raw materials, labour, overheads.
Prepare cost variance analyses and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitor monthly budget performance.
Compile data for forecasting and management reports.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Analyze key metrics: gross profit margin, inventory turnover, capacity utilization.
Monitor daily cash flow for production operations and assist with tax submissions.

Requirement

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
2–4 years of executive-level accounting or finance experience.
Experience in the manufacturing industryis preferred; candidates with relevantaudit firm experience will also be considered.
Good knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
Familiar with manufacturing costing, including raw materials, labour, and overhead allocation.
Knowledge of Malaysian taxation, including Corporate Income Tax, SST, and customs duties, is an advantage.
Proficient in accounting/ERP systems such as SQL Accounting and Kingdee.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or MIA are preferred.
Good analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibility

Assist in gathering and preparing financial data to support the company’s financial planning and operational objectives.
Monitor Malaysian tax updates and industry trends and provide relevant information for management review.
Handle day-to-day manufacturing cost accounting, including raw materials, labour, overheads, and other production costs.
Prepare regular cost variance analysis and identify potential cost reduction opportunities.
Assist in preparing the annual budget and monitor monthly departmental budget performance.
Compile financial data and supporting information for regular forecasting and management reports.
Prepare timely monthly and quarterly financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
Prepare and analyse key financial and operational metrics, including gross profit margin, inventory turnover, and capacity utilization.
Monitor daily cash flow movements to ensure sufficient funds for normal production operations.
Prepare supporting documents for Malaysian tax compliance, including Corporate Income Tax, SST, and customs duties, and assist with tax submissions.
Work closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to provide financial and costing support.
