Job summary

IKD Limited in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia is seeking a skilled accounting professional to support daily financial operations, cost accounting, budgeting, and tax compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, 2–4 years of executive-level experience, and proficiency in SQL, Kingdee, and Excel. Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay is advantageous for communicating with our diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting or related fields.
• Priority is given to professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA.
• 2–4 years of executive-level accounting/finance experience, preferably within manufacturing or with audit firm experience.
• Proficient in financial software (such as SQL and Kingdee) and Excel data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company's manufacturing business, including cost accounting, budget tracking, financial reporting preparation, and tax compliance processing, ensuring operational accuracy and compliance with local regulatory standards.
• Financial Planning Support: Assist in gathering data for the company's financial planning and operational goals.
• Cost Accounting and Control: Handle day-to-day cost accounting for production and manufacturing (raw materials, labor, overheads, etc.).
• Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor monthly departmental budget execution.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and extract key performance metrics for management.

Core Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning Support

Assist in gathering data for the company's financial planning and operational goals.

Keep track of local tax updates and industry trends in Malaysia to support management reviews.

2. Cost Accounting and Control

Handle day-to-day cost accounting for production and manufacturing (raw materials, labor, overheads, etc.).

Prepare regular cost variance analysis reports and flag areas for cost-reduction opportunities.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor monthly departmental budget execution.

Compile baseline data and financial numbers to support regular forecasting reports.

4. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) in a timely manner.

Extract and calculate key performance metrics required by management, such as gross profit margin, inventory turnover, and capacity utilization.

5. Treasury and Tax Administration

Monitor daily cash flow movements to ensure sufficient funds for routine production operations.

Prepare submission documents for Malaysian tax compliance (Corporate Tax, SST, customs duties) and assist in handling tax declarations.

6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration

Cross departmental collaboration (such as production, procurement, supply chain), providing financial support.
