Job summary

Selkirk Sport in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support U.S. accounting operations. This Malaysia-based role focuses on data entry, accuracy, and independent work, with fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• High-volume data entry accuracy with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for reconciliations and reporting.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Motivated to grow and expand responsibilities as the company scales.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new software and tools.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process high volumes of vendor invoices and customer payments.
• Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) entries in our ERP
• Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in vendor and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
• Complete accounting processes & tasks in our workflow system.
• Use Google spreadsheets to process reports and accounting records.
• Track and report accounting efficiency & issues to management.
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Improve accounting processes and create new documentation.

About the role

We are seeking a self-starting, detail-orientedAccounting Associateto join our team in Malaysia. This Malaysia-based role will dedicate their time to supporting U.S. accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work independently.
