Job summary

MRG Asia is seeking a Deputy Finance Manager in Malaysia to oversee daily finance operations, including AR, AP, GL postings and bank reconciliations, while maintaining strong controls. The role requires at least five years in a senior finance position and experience leading a team, with SAP proficiency and solid tax compliance knowledge.

The incumbent will support month‑end closing, budgeting, and reporting, collaborate with project teams, and help drive process improvements in ERP and finance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance role.
• Experience in leading and mentoring a team.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• High proficiency in finance operations, reporting and tax compliance.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in dynamic and evolving setup.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations including AR, AP, GL postings, and bank reconciliations.
• Review and approve payments, ensuring compliance with approval matrix and internal controls.
• Prepare and review management reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPI dashboards.
• Support month-end closing, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with project teams on cash requirements, payment scheduling, and collection priorities.
• Assist with banking matters and tax filings.
• Maintain governance and internal controls; prep for audits and ensure readiness.
• Support ERP/accounting system enhancements and data accuracy improvements.
