Job summary

HFG Insurance Recruitment in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Finance Operations Manager/Assistant Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations in a high-volume shared services environment. The role covers AP, T&E, intercompany, fixed assets, lease accounting and bank reconciliation, driving process improvements and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in finance operations or shared services.
• Experience in high-volume finance operations and service delivery.
• Experience with AP, T&E, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting and Bank Reconciliation.
• Supervisory or people management experience preferred for Manager level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Finance Operations activities and coordinate team execution.
• Ensure processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with policies.
• Monitor performance, service quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Track SLAs and KPIs, identify gaps and escalate risks.
• Support issue resolution and governance.
• Oversee master data maintenance and timely updates.
• Oversee invoice receipt, validation, processing and payments in AP.
• Coordinate payment runs and manage payment exceptions.
• Oversee employee expense claims and policy compliance.
• Manage intercompany reconciliation and reporting.
• Oversee fixed asset capitalisation, transfers and depreciation.
• Oversee lease accounting per IFRS/MFRS 16.
• Drive automation and standardisation initiatives.
• Support SOX and internal control testing.
