Confidential is seeking an Account Assistant to support month-end close, journal entries, and GL maintenance in a fast-paced environment in Malaysia. You will liaise with multiple departments to ensure timely submission of finance transactions and assist with audit, tax, and statutory reporting.

Qualificações

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification adds advantage.
• At least 1 year in related field; fresh grads with audit/GL/AR internship welcome.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting; exposure to automation or digital finance tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, including schedules and reports.
• Prepare and process journal entries; post to General Ledger accurately and timely.
• Perform accounts payable and/or GL tasks: invoicing, payments, reconciliations, schedules.
• Liaise with departments for proper submission and documentation of finance transactions.
• Conduct account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items promptly.
• Prepare audit, tax and statutory reporting schedules and documents on time.
• Coordinate with auditors, Group functions, banks and authorities as required.
• Support continuous process improvement, automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations to monitor and resolve finance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls and statutory requirements.
• Handle other ad hoc finance assignments and projects as required.
