Job summary

EdirectInsure Group in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to support the CFO-Technology and Group Finance teams with reporting, forecasting and decision support. The role blends Excel modelling, technology cost analysis and practical use of AI tools to boost finance productivity and stakeholder insight.

You will collaborate with technology leadership and finance stakeholders to translate data into clear recommendations for senior decision-making, driving cost visibility and alignment

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in finance business partnering or commercial finance.
  • Experience with Technology, Group functions or transformation projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to build Excel models.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills for CFO-level reporting.
  • Experience with CFO-level management reporting including cost summaries and variance analysis.
  • Interest and practical capability in AI, including building and using AI tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare CFO-Technology reporting, including cost summaries, forecasts, variance analysis, risks and recommendations.
  • Support financial governance for the Technology function, ensuring spend follows policies and controls.
  • Assist with audit-related requests including IT asset capitalization and impairment analysis.
  • Partner with Technology, Finance and business unit stakeholders to align spend with priorities.
  • Build, use and improve AI tools, prompts, agents and automated workflows to streamline finance reporting and data workflows.

Job description

support theCFO -Technology and wider Group Finance team with CFO-level reporting, financialanalysis and practical decision supportfor a fast-movingTechnology function. This hands-on Finance Manager rolecombines strong Excel modelling, Technology project analysis and active use of AI tools to improve finance productivity, reporting quality and stakeholder insight.

You will work closely with the CFO - Technology, Technology leadership and Group Finance stakeholders, bringing analytical strength, curiosity for AI-enabled ways of working and the ability to translate data into clear, reliable recommendations for senior decision-making.

You will be responsible for…
Reporting, Governance & Business Partnering
  • Prepare clear CFO - Technology reporting, including Technology cost summaries, forecasts, variance analysis, risks, opportunities and recommendations to support senior decision-making.
  • Support financial governance for the Technology function, ensuring spend follows Group policies, approval requirements, financial controls and audit expectations.
  • Assist with audit-related requests, including IT asset capitalization, project documentation, expense classification, impairment analysis and supporting evidence.
  • Partner with Technology, Finance and business unit stakeholders to align spend with business priorities, transformation objectives and approved budgets.
Budgeting, Forecasting & FinOps
  • Support the CFO - Technology, CTOO, Technology leadership team and Finance leadership in managing the global Technology budget across cloud, software, infrastructure, people and projects.
  • Analyse cloud, software development, maintenance, vendor and infrastructure costs, identifying trends, cost drivers and optimization opportunities.
  • Support business cases, resource planning, labour tracking, capitalization treatment and financial analysis for key Technology initiatives, including AI investments.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Operational Excellence
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Technology Operations, People, Tax, Group Finance and business unit finance teams to provide practical financial insight on Technology-related costs.
  • Support chargeback or show-back analysis, vendor cost management, renewal tracking and KPI reporting to improve cost visibility and link Technology spend to business value.
  • Prepare concise financial summaries, analysis and recommendations for the CFO - Technology, Technology leadership and Finance stakeholders.
  • Build, use and improve AI tools, prompts, agents and automated workflows to streamline Technology finance reporting, processes, analysis, cost transparency, controls, documentation and data workflows.

You will require the following qualifications and skills
  • Finance analysis, commercial finance or finance business partnering experience, ideally 3–6 years, with exposure to Technology, Group functions or transformation environments.
  • Preferably an academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build Excel models, analyse large data sets, interpret business drivers and turn analysis into clear commercial insight.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create clear, structured and visually engaging CFO - Technology reporting packs and senior stakeholder decks.
  • Experience preparing CFO-level management reporting, including Technology cost summaries, variance analysis, risks and opportunities, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Strong interest and practical capability in AI, including the ability to build, test and use AI tools, prompts, agents and automated workflows to improve reporting, analysis, productivity and insight generation.
  • Experience with cloud cost management, FinOps reporting tools or technology cost allocation models would be an advantage.
  • Ability to connect data, Technology activity and financial outcomes, and explain what the numbers mean for the business.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial, analytical, system and AI concepts clearly to the CFO - Technology, Finance leaders and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Structured, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working across regions and with distributed teams would be a plus.
  • Exposure to CFO-, investor-, board- or executive-level reporting environments would be a plus.
