Qualifications

Job description

• Partner closely with Commercial, Operations and supporting functions to provide financial guidance, insights and recommendations that support effective decision-making, cost efficiency and business performance.
• Work with department heads and key stakeholders to understand business priorities, key cost drivers and operational performance, translating business activities into financial impact and actionable recommendations.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, including budget/forecast vs. actual to identify key drivers, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Provide financial analysis, scenario modelling and business insights to support strategic and operational decisions, improve cost efficiency and drive profitability.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, providing clear analysis and commentary on key financial and operational performance, risks, opportunities and key business drivers.
• Support the preparation of strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including developing assumptions, conducting financial analysis and preparing management presentations.
• Leverage data, digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, automation and business insights, and continuously identify opportunities to improve finance processes and productivity.
• Present key financial insights, risks and recommendations to management and provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support as required.

Job Requirements

• Degree in accountancy or ACCA/CIMA/Chartered Accountant and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the commercial finance/business analysis experience in the retail/FMCG industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, finance and accounting software, e.g. SAP, Qlik Sense and any EPM
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial and operational data into meaningful business insights
• A self-driven, independent individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to foster effective cross-functional collaboration
• AI capability and digital mindset, with the ability to effectively use AI tools and emerging technologies to support financial analysis, reporting, data interpretation, process automation and productivity improvement.
