Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Finance Manager to lead a 6-person finance team and partner with the Head of Department on strategic financial matters.

You will oversee monthly closings, group consolidation, statutory submissions, and drive internal controls, budgeting and cashflow planning while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience with 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in manufacturing and full set of accounts is required.
• Exposure to group consolidation is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a finance team consisting of 3 Senior Executives and 3 Finance Executives, and work closely with the HOD on strategic financial matters.
• Oversee monthly closing activities, group consolidation and preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and authorities for statutory submissions (audit, tax computation, CP204).
• Review and improve internal controls, accounting processes and financial policies for better compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, management reports, cashflow projections and support the annual budgeting process.
• Ensure timely submission of reporting packages from subsidiaries and maintain alignment with group reporting requirements.
• Monitor group cashflow, liquidity and provide insight for strategic financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, statutory requirements and corporate governance.
