Job summary

Sunway Berhad, through its Sunway Leasing & Risk Management unit, seeks an Assistant Manager/Manager – Finance to strengthen financial planning, reporting, and controls. Lead month-end closing, coordinate audits, and ensure compliance while liaising with Group Finance and external partners.

You should have a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 4–6 years of experience, ERP (Oracle) proficiency, and a track record in financial analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
4–6 years of experience in accounting and analytical finance roles; auditing experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge in financial analysis and reporting.
ERP experience (Oracle) is preferred; experience in finance/insurance services is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of business plan, financial budget and cashflow forecast.
Prepare, review and submit periodic statistical returns, loan transaction reports and unclaimed money on time.
Coordinate with Group Finance, bankers, insurers, tax agents and others to resolve finance issues.
Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure excess funds are parked promptly.
Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors for timely audits.
Lead month-end/year-end closing processes and submit management reports to Group Finance and Management.
Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable standards and regulations.
Oversee petty cash and reconcile insurer/creditor statements.
Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategy with business objectives.
Perform ad hoc financial tasks as directed by management.
