Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Penang is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support the finance department in managing accounts, controls, and statutory compliance in Malaysia. The role focuses on month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management, with emphasis on internal controls and audit coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Experience in audit firms (Big Four or mid-tier) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Finance Manager in managing accounts, AR reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Review general ledger transactions and reconciliations; monitor accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections and financial analysis.
• Coordinate audits; ensure internal controls and governance compliance.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements; liaise with tax agents.
• Support treasury: cash flow management and liaising with banks/group finance.
