Acmar Group, a leading Klang-based property developer, seeks an experienced Finance Manager/Group Accountant to oversee Group accounting, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, cash flow, and banking functions. You will lead the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely compliance.
Responsibilities include consolidations, monthly management reports, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and coordinating with auditors and regulators.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager/Group Accountant to oversee the Group’s accounting, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, cash flow, and banking functions.
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong financial controls, effective cash flow management, and compliance with statutory and tax requirements. The successful candidate will also provide financial insights and advice to support Management in business planning, project feasibility, funding, and strategic decision-making, while leading the Finance team
Key responsibilities :
Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions of the Group and its subsidiaries/business units.
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and Group consolidated accounts.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of Monthly Management Reports (MMR).
Ensure compliance with MFRS, statutory requirements, accounting policies, and internal controls.
Review financial performance and analyse variances against budgets and forecasts.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
(B) Finance Planning & Management
Lead the preparation of annual budgets, business plans, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to Management.
Prepare and review project feasibility studies, financial projections, and business plans.
Provide financial advice for new development projects and business initiatives.
Support long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making.
(C) Treasury, Banking & Cash Flow
Oversee Group treasury and cash flow management.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly Group cash positions and funding requirements.
Review and manage banking and trade facilities to support working capital and project requirements.
Develop and recommend suitable funding strategies.
Manage relationships with banks, financiers, and financial institutions.
Support loan and financing applications, including financial feasibility papers and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with bankers on project updates, claims, drawdowns, and financing matters.
(D) Taxation & Compliance
Oversee Group tax compliance and tax planning activities.
Review corporate tax computations and submissions to LHDN/IRBM.
Liaise with tax agents and tax authorities on tax matters.
Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements.
(E) Credit Control & Business Unit Finance
Monitor Group credit control and collection performance.
Review receivables including rental, maintenance fees, car park collections, sinking funds, and other collections.
Work with relevant departments to resolve collection and credit control matters.
Oversee accounting and reporting for individual companies, business units, and development projects.
(F) Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead, supervise, coach, and develop Finance and Treasury team members.
Establish and monitor team KRAs and KPIs.
Ensure compliance with finance SOPs, internal controls, and good accounting practices.
Identify and implement improvements to accounting, reporting, treasury, and finance processes.
Undertake special projects and other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline and/or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
-Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience and experience in property development and/or construction industry, particularly in the fields of financial reporting
-Strong experience in Group accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash flow management, taxation, and financial planning.
-Preferably with at least 3 years of external audit experience.
-Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Malaysian taxation.
-Good understanding of banking facilities, project financing, working capital, and cash flow management.
-Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
-Proactive, hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and commercially minded.
-Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
