DOO you have what it takes
What you’ll be working on:
- Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
- Review subsidiaries’ management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly financial summaries, management commentaries, variance analysis, and performance reports.
- Analyse financial results against budget, forecast, and prior periods, and explain significant movements and business drivers.
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and consistently in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and reporting schedules to support high-quality financial statements.
- Prepare financial information and reporting materials for senior management, the board of directors, auditors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support business planning and management decision-making.
- Review month-end closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other reporting adjustments.
- Develop and maintain effective financial reporting controls, accounting policies, closing procedures, and reporting templates.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of reporting workflows, accounting processes, and internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and other business planning activities.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government bodies on audit, taxation, banking, and financial matters.
- Lead, guide, and develop the Finance and Accounts team to ensure smooth daily operations and timely reporting deliverables.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, MIA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial finance, financial accounting, or reporting experience.
- Prior Big 4 audit exposure or experience working in a multinational or multi-entity environment will be an advantage.
- Strong hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and management reporting packs.
- Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and month-end closing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare meaningful financial analysis, variance commentary, and management insights.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage complex reporting schedules and financial datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight reporting deadlines with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Kingdee ERP will be an added advantage.
