Job summary

Doo Group, a global financial services group, seeks a Senior Consolidation Accountant to lead group consolidation across multiple entities and currencies. You will ensure timely, accurate reporting, review intercompany eliminations, and coordinate with subsidiaries and external auditors.

You should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with CPA/ACCA/MIA preferred, 5+ years in consolidation, and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Kingdee ERP or QuickBooks Online is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA/ACCA/MIA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience with consolidation exposure.
  • Big 4 audit experience or managing complex group accounts is advantageous.
  • Experience consolidating multiple subsidiaries across currencies.
  • Strong knowledge of consolidation principles and IFRS/GAAP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation for the group and subsidiaries.
  • Consolidate financial results across entities, jurisdictions, and currencies.
  • Review intercompany balances, eliminations, adjustments, and translation.
  • Maintain group schedules, reporting templates, and entity mapping.
  • Review submissions, follow up on discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure statements comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate group reporting timeline with finance teams to meet deadlines.
  • Support changes to group structure, new entities, acquisitions, and reorganisations.
  • Prepare consolidation-related analysis and reports for senior management and oversight bodies.
  • Strengthen consolidation controls and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Liaise with external auditors on group audit matters and schedules.
  • Lead and review the work of the consolidation team.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Consolidate financial results across multiple entities, jurisdictions, currencies, and business lines.
  • Review intercompany balances and transactions, elimination entries, consolidation adjustments, and foreign currency translation.
  • Maintain group consolidation schedules, reporting templates, entity mapping, and supporting documentation.
  • Review subsidiaries’ financial submissions and follow up on discrepancies, incomplete information, or unusual movements.
  • Ensure consolidated financial statements comply with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the group reporting timeline and work closely with finance teams across different entities to meet closing deadlines.
  • Support changes to the Group structure, including new entities, acquisitions, disposals, and internal reorganisations.
  • Prepare consolidation-related analysis and reports for senior management, the board of directors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strengthen consolidation controls and improve the accuracy, efficiency, and standardisation of group reporting processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors on group audit matters, consolidation schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Lead, guide, and review the work of team members involved in consolidation and group reporting.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, MIA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, with substantial hands‑on exposure to group consolidation.
  • Prior Big 4 audit experience or experience managing complex group accounts will be an advantage.
  • Proven experience consolidating a sizeable group structure involving multiple subsidiaries.
  • Candidates with experience consolidating approximately 20–30 entities or more will be highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of consolidation principles, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and consolidation adjustments.
  • Sound understanding of applicable accounting standards and group financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage complex consolidation schedules and large datasets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly when coordinating with finance teams across multiple entities or countries.
  • Able to work independently, investigate discrepancies, and meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Kingdee ERP, or consolidation systems will be an added advantage.
  • Inquisitive, responsible, detail‑oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
