The Finance Manager oversees the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective management of budgets and financial planning. The role leads the finance team, provides insights to support strategic decisions, and implements best practices for financial efficiency.
Roles and Responsiblities:
1. Financial Management and Reporting
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of management reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions to align with financial goals.
- Support strategic planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis.
3. Cash Flow and Risk Management
- Manage cash flow to ensure the organisation meets its financial obligations.
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks through effective policies and controls.
4. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
5. Compliance and Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organisation’s assets.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely submission of tax filings and statutory reports.
6. Systems and Process Improvement
- Streamline financial processes and drive automation for efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of financial software and systems (e.g. Infor LN).
7. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other business units.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and organisational goals.
- Communicate financial performance and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and the board.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA qualification preferred).
- Proven experience (8+ years) in financial management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Experience in Manufacturing and familiarity with Inforus LN.
