Job description

The Finance Manager oversees group-level financial reporting and governance for Hume Cement Industries Berhad, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia regulations. The role plays a key part in delivering strategic financial insights, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing financial performance across the Group's operations.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the monthly financial closing process for the parent company and subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

Review and approve payment proposals and cash flow planning; ensuring all payments are properly supported and executed in a timely manner

Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including effective fund management and optimisation of financial resources

Lead the preparation of monthly group consolidation and reporting submissions to holding company / HQ

Lead and actively participate in the end-to-end preparation and review of quarterly Bursa announcements, financial statements, and board papers

Provide financial analysis and insights to support monthly management meetings and strategic decision-making

Provide guidance and advice to operating companies' finance personnel on group policies and accounting standards, and elevate requests to headquarters for further technical support when necessary

Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting presentation slide

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and regulatory authorities on audit, tax, and compliance matters

Oversee year-end audit, tax filings, and annual report preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
