Job summary

Hume Cement Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary within the Hong Leong Group, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead group-level financial reporting, governance and internal control enhancements across the cement group. You will oversee monthly closings, consolidation, treasury, and annual audits, while guiding finance teams and ensuring compliance with MS ISO standards and Bursa Malaysia regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly financial closing process for the parent company and subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Review and approve payment proposals and cash flow planning; ensuring all payments are properly supported and executed in a timely manner
• Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including effective fund management and optimisation of financial resources
• Lead the preparation of monthly group consolidation and reporting submissions to holding company / HQ
• Lead and actively participate in the end-to-end preparation and review of quarterly Bursa announcements, financial statements, and board papers
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support monthly management meetings and strategic decision-making
• Provide guidance and advice to operating companies' finance personnel on group policies and accounting standards, and escape requests to headquarters for further technical support when necessary
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting presentation slide
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and regulatory authorities on audit, tax, and compliance matters
• Oversee year-end audit, tax filings, and annual report preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
