Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manager to join the group finance team. You will partner with the existing Finance Manager to strengthen budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and group reporting across multiple entities.
This role carries strong ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, group reporting, and audit readiness, while collaborating on operational reviews, statutory reporting, and finance team development.

We are looking for a hands‑on, commercially minded Finance Manager to join our group finance team. You will partner with the existing Finance Manager to strengthen the group's financial planning, reporting, and controls across multiple entities. The role carries strong ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, group reporting, and audit readiness, while collaborating on operational reviews, statutory reporting, and finance team development.
This is a role suited to a candidate who is comfortable working across group and entity-level reporting and engaging with senior management and business team.
Preparation and review of the group's annual budget and rolling forecasts
Cashflow monitoring and forward‑looking cashflow projections
Manage management cost charges, IT cost recovery, and barista cost charge and analysis across group companies
Provide commercial insights to support decision‑making by senior management and HODs
Co‑prepare and review the management report to JV partners for selected subsidiaries
Co‑prepare the Sales, EBITDA, and HOD reports on a monthly basis
Perform monthly reviews of AP aging, AR aging, and bad debts
Drive balance sheet reviews and clearing of outstanding items across entities
Jointly review monthly P&L and balance sheet for all group companies
Review and approve weekly payments
Prepare group consolidation audit working files and act as key point of contact for external auditors
Review of audited financial statements for all group companies
Co‑manage Chart of Accounts and department set‑up to ensure consistent reporting across the group
Keep abreast of new legislation and tax rulings and ensure group‑wide compliance
Coach and guide the finance team, supporting their development alongside the existing FM
Contribute to process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum 6‑8 years of relevant finance experience, at least 2‑3 years in a Finance Manager or equivalent role
Prior experience in group / multi‑entity reporting essential
Experience in dealing with external stakeholders (auditors and tax agents) is a strong plus
Industry experience in F&B, retail, or franchise / multi‑outlet operations is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian tax (income tax, SST, transfer pricing), and statutory compliance
Proficient in Oracle accounting systems, advanced Excel and PowerPoint
High ownership, hands‑on, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced group environment
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to see both the group and entity picture
Effective communicator - able to work collaboratively with the existing FM, finance team, HODs, and external partners
Discreet, dependable, and detail‑oriented, with sound commercial judgement
