Job summary

Wide Tropism Trading Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee financial consolidation for multiple entities, including inter-company eliminations, while managing costing, budgeting, and cash flow across the group.

The role requires extensive knowledge of MFRS, 5–8 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership to mentor the finance team. Willingness to relocate to Rawang when the company moves in Q3 2027 is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong working knowledge of MFRS (Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Hands-on experience with group consolidation (consolidated P&L, balance sheet, inter-company eliminations) is essential.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing/factory accounting environment (costing, inventory, production accounting) is essential.
  • Familiarity with FMCG or consumer goods industry is an advantage.
  • Proficient in accounting software (AutoCount, SQL Accounting, SAP or similar) and Excel; consolidation tools/templates a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to MFRS.
  • Prepare consolidated P&L and financial statements across group companies with inter-company eliminations.
  • Maintain consolidation schedules and ensure consistent accounting policies across entities.
  • Oversee full set of accounts for each entity within the group.
  • Manage manufacturing/product costing, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Monitor and control production costs, raw material costs, and factory overheads.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management at entity and group level.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory filing requirements for each entity.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and financial governance across the group.
  • Provide financial analysis and business insights to support management decisions.
  • Supervise and mentor finance/accounting team members.
  • Support ad hoc finance projects as the company scales.
