Job summary

Port Klang Port Reception Facility Sdn. Bhd. invites an experienced Finance Manager to lead the Company’s finance and accounting functions.

You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, statutory compliance, taxation, audits and internal controls. You will provide accurate financial information and meaningful analysis to support management decision‑making, cost control and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, MICPA or CPA are desirable.
• Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is advantageous.
• At least five years of experience in full‑set accounting, monthly close, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Managerial or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian taxation, audit requirements and statutory reporting.
• Strong analytical and IT skills, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports for multiple stakeholders.
• Manage the full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, month‑end).
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts; monitor performance against budgets.
• Analyse results, costs and variances; recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare statutory financial statements per MFRS and company policies.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking facilities and funding needs.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, taxation, audit and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax submissions; liaise with external auditors and authorities.

Port Klang Port Reception Facility Sdn. Bhd. (PKPRF) located at Pulau Indah, Port Klang, Selangor, is a licensed marine waste reception and treatment facility specialising in marine waste oil reception and processing, supporting sustainable environmental management for the port community.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Finance Manager to lead and manage the Company's finance and accounting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow management, statutory compliance, taxation, audits, and internal controls. This position requires a commercially minded finance professional who can provide accurate financial information and meaningful analysis to support management decision‑making, cost control and sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Company's day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual management reports for the Business Unit, Head Office and Holding Company.
• Manage the full set of accounts, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor actual performance against approved budgets.
• Analyse financial results, revenue, expenditure, operational costs and variances, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, Company policies and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Manage and monitor the Company's cash flow, working capital, banking facilities and funding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, taxation, audit and financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate annual statutory audits, tax submissions and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, government authorities and other relevant external parties.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, MICPA, CPA or equivalent would be an added advantage.
• Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), where applicable, would be advantageous.
• At least five years of relevant working experience, with strong exposure to full‑set accounting, month‑end closing, financial reporting, budgeting and statutory compliance.
• Previous experience in a managerial, supervisory or finance‑leadership capacity is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian taxation, audit requirements and statutory financial reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and financial interpretation skills.
• Meticulous, organised and attentive to detail.
• Results‑oriented and able to work independently under tight reporting deadlines.
