Job summary

Talent Recruit represents a client engaged in marine aquaculture, wholesale of fish and seafood, and managing holding companies. The role is a senior finance leadership position based in Malaysia, overseeing accounting, auditing, taxation and financing for the company.

The candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations, coordinate financial reporting and budgeting, and ensure regulatory compliance across all financial areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• At least 5 years audit experience in a reputable firm or 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing financial operations preferred.
• Proficient with accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting, auditing, taxation and financing for the company.

Job description

We are representing our client, a company engaged in marine aquaculture, wholesale of fish and seafood, and management activities of holding companies.

• Working hours: Mon-Fri (8.30am-5.30pm)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting, auditing, taxation and financing for the Company.
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company and oversee the Finance Department.
  
• Plan and coordinate all activities related to finance and administrative tasks such as financial reporting, budget preparation, etc., to ensure it is functioning smoothly and efficiently.
  
• Establish the financial policies of the Company and review the costing system of the inventory.
  
• Oversee cashflow management of the Company, to monitor payment and collection schedules to achieve efficiency in the cash management system.
  
• Timely liaise with External Auditors, Tax Agents, Bankers, Company Secretaries and Statutory Department for related matters.
  
• Ensure internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting/requirements.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or a Professional qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA.
  
• At least 5 Years of audit working experience in one of the reputable audit firms and/or at least 5 Years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  
• Candidates who possess sound knowledge of manufacturing financial operations will have an added advantage.
  
• Familiar with Accounting Software.
  
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to communicate confidently, effectively and diplomatically at all levels.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
  
• Strong leadership and management skills.
