Job summary

DTS GROUP SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned finance professional to oversee General Ledger, costing, and treasury functions. The role exercises leadership over the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records and adherence to standards.

You will monitor budgets/forecasts, prepare timely reports for senior management and the board, manage liquidity for growth, and implement strong internal controls. Collaboration across departments is essential.

Qualifications

• ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA or Bachelor’s in Accountancy required.
• At least 3 years of solid experience in external audit and/or commercial accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing sector and team management is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate/advanced).
• Strong English, diligence, proactivity, and optimism.

Responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger, Costing, and Treasury functions to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Supervise accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
• Support the monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts to align with the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Prepare, analyse, and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
• Manage cash flows operations, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet the Company’s obligations while supporting growth and expansion initiatives.
• Recommend and implement robust internal controls and financial policies to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to drive financial performance and align financial strategies with business goals.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies (auditors, company secretary, tax agent, bankers) to ensure full compliance with local statutory laws and regulations.
• Optimize financial system by integrating and upgrading financial software when necessary, ensuring the company remains at an adequate level of technological advancement and efficiency.
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management to support overall business success.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.

At least three (3) years of solid experience in external audit and/or commercial accounting roles.

Experience in the manufacturing sector, team management, will be an added advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate/advanced functions).

Good command of English, diligence, proactivity, and optimism.

Analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities with a positive attitude.

Team-oriented, outspoken, with strong interpersonal skills.
