Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, while leading management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and governance.

The role emphasizes building a strong finance team, driving process improvements, and delivering strategic financial insights to executive management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations considering the relevance and compliance with accounting standards, corporate governance and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
• Lead & manage the management reporting, statutory financial reporting and corporate financial reporting in compliance with MFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and statutory regulations.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting activities with various stakeholders to meet organization goals.
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and regulatory authorities.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies and financial processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Monitor business performance, analyse financial results and provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team while driving continuous process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
• Undertake other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Management or Chief Financial Officer.

Education

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in agriculture, plantation or manufacturing is an advantage.
