Job summary

Experian in Malaysia offers the Finance Graduate Program, a 24-month development track across core finance responsibilities, with exposure to finance transformation, analytics, automation, and the latest technologies. Reports to Head of Department.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Exposure to data analytics, reporting, automation, or digital tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Platform, Copilot, or similar technologies.
• Up to 2 years of professional experience, including internships, industrial placements, academic projects, or other relevant work experience
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, presentations, or financial modelling.
• Demonstrated experience supporting financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, process improvement plans, or business projects through coursework, internships, or employment.
• Interest in developing expertise across finance operations, financial planning and analysis, controllership, finance transformation, automation, and latest technologies

Responsibilities

• Support rotational assignments across R2R, AP, AR, O2C, FP&A, Revenue, Cost, and Controllership.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
• Explore AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance productivity and accuracy in finance processes.
• Participate in finance transformation, process migration, and continuous improvement plans.
• Collaborate with finance, business, data, and technology teams on projects and learning assignments.

Role Overview

Role summary:

The Finance Graduate Program is a structured 24-month development program that builds foundational expertise across Experian's finance responsibilities. The program also provides exposure to finance transformation, analytics, automation, and latest technologies, helping you develop technical and commercial capabilities for a long-term finance career. You will report to Head of Department of respective teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Support rotational assignments across Record-to-Report (R2R), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Revenue, Cost, and Controllership functions by preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, executing period-end close activities, and processing accounting transactions in accordance with internal controls, accounting standards, and business requirements.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, quantify variances, enhance reporting accuracy, fulfil stakeholder information requirements, and support data-driven business decisions.
• Explore and use AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, and latest technologies to enhance productivity, improve accuracy, and improve finance processes. Identify suitable opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, workflow optimisation, and process standardisation.
• Participate in finance transformation, process migration, and continuous improvement plans. Map current processes, assess inefficiencies or control gaps, document findings, and support agreed changes with measurable outcomes.
• You will collaborate with finance, business, data, and technology teams on projects and learning assignments. Maintain accurate documentation, complete required training, share progress, and apply feedback throughout each rotation.

Experience and Skills

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Exposure to data analytics, reporting, automation, or digital tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Platform, Copilot, or similar technologies.
• Up to 2 years of professional experience, including internships, industrial placements, academic projects, or other relevant work experience
