Job summary

Symphony Life Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Executive, Account to join our Finance team. This full-time role is based at our Petaling Jaya, Selangor office and reports to the Finance Manager.

You will manage monthly closes, revenue recognition, AR/AP processes, budgeting and assist with audits and tax. The successful candidate will have a diploma or degree in accounting and 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of Malaysian standards.

Qualifications

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
• Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly accounts closing, reporting, and financial consolidation.
• Oversee revenue recognition, inventory costing, and financial record accuracy.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including billing, collections, receipting, and reconciliations.
• Administer accounts payable processes, payment disbursements, and bank reconciliations.
• Handle profit-sharing accounting transactions and related adjustments.
• Support statutory audits, tax reporting, and annual tax estimations.
• Assist in budgeting, cash flow management, and other finance-related assignments.
