Job summary

City Facilities Management – Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Australian Finance team with accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliations. You will help prepare journal entries, maintain ERP records, and contribute to financial analysis.

You will work with Malaysia and Australia stakeholders, handle billing processes, expense and credit card administration, and assist with ad-hoc reporting and continuous improvement within the shared

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or reporting role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and variances.
• Support management reporting and financial analysis.
• Support billing processes and cost allocation activities.
• Maintain accurate ERP and financial records.
• Monitor WIP balances and unbilled commitments.
• Assist with accrued income assessments and reporting.
• Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process employee expense claims and corporate credit card transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and approval processes.
• Support month-end reporting relating to expenses and reimbursements.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders in Malaysia and Australia.
• Support ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and finance projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function.

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Billing & Finance Operations

Expense & Credit Card Administration

• Ensure compliance with company policies and approval processes.
• Support month-end reporting relating to expenses and reimbursements.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with finance stakeholders in Malaysia and Australia.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or reporting role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Advantageous

• Exposure to month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
