Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. You will analyze performance, prepare schedules, and provide insights to guide business decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will review owner contracts, manage statements, assist external auditors, and help strengthen internal controls while maintaining accuracy and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably with experience in financial analysis and audit background.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Experience with SQL accounting software will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Assist in monthly financial performance review, investigate significant variances against budget and prior periods and provide clear explanations.
• Assist in reviewing and managing owner contracts, including financial terms and obligations.
• Compile and review owner statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, and analyse owner payout performance across buildings to understand key drivers and trends.
• Review staff expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies and verify the accuracy and completeness of supporting documents.
• Assist external auditors during the annual audit and prepare required schedules and supporting documents.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform any other finance and accounting duties as required.
