Jora Malaysia is seeking a Costing and Inventory Accountant to prepare and maintain standard product costing, analyze variances, and reconcile monthly inventory records. You will assist in stock valuation, handling slow-moving inventory and obsolete stock analysis, and support stock counts with discrepancy investigations.
Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing finance/inventory accounting, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and strong Excel skills.

Prepare and maintain standard product costing, including material, labour, and overhead components.
Analyse cost variances (material, labour, overhead) and provide justifications.
Perform monthly inventory reconciliation between system and physical records.
Assist in stock valuation, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory analysis.
Support stock count exercises, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile inventory balances.
Assist in reviewing the allocation of manufacturing overheads.
Prepare costing-related journal entries during month-end closing.
Assist in audit schedules and provide supporting documentation related to costing and inventory.
Support enhancement of costing processes and internal controls.
Assist and handle any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Professional qualifications such as ACCA or equivalent is an added advantage).
Minimum 1 - 2 years of working experience, preferably in manufacturing finance / inventory accounting.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, tables, and data handling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; detail-oriented, accurate, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
