Job summary

Prudential plc in Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned Solution Architect to translate enterprise architecture into robust, scalable finance solutions. You will drive designs for ERP (Oracle Financials), P2P (Coupa) and related interfaces, balancing cost, risk and performance across projects.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, analysts and delivery teams, delivering architecture artefacts, ADRs and detailed designs.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of IT experience with Finance techno-functional roles
• 5+ years of solutioning in Finance domain, ERP and P2P (Coupa)
• 3+ years across Oracle Financials areas (GL, AP, AR)
• BFSI exposure is advantageous, especially Insurance and Actuarial
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs in Finance domain
• Ability to operate within structured delivery frameworks
• Proven ability to create Detailed Design Documents (DDDs)
• Strong PowerPoint skills for architecture reviews
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
• Certifications in TOGAF/Oracle/Azure/GCP are advantageous
• Strategic/analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Collaborative approach and adaptability
• Commitment to governance and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures aligning with Prudential plc’s enterprise principles and roadmaps
• Partner with Enterprise Architect to translate strategy into actionable designs
• Produce architecture artefacts and ADRs (high-level/low-level designs, integration diagrams)
• Evaluate technology options and provide cost, security and scalability trade-offs
• Collaborate with business analysts, engineering, delivery and infrastructure through SDLC
• Identify risks and remediation strategies early in the lifecycle
• Ensure designs comply with security, data protection and regulatory standards
• Contribute to architecture governance, patterns and reusable components
• Support architecture reviews by presenting designs to stakeholders
• Design and support Finance solutions across ERP (Oracle Financials) and P2P (Coupa)
• Provide techno-functional input across Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR)
• Design API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) across finance systems
• Prepare FSDs, TSDs and Detailed Design Documents
• Use UML and diagram tools to produce clear diagrams and presentations
• Operate independently and manage workload in line with timelines
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
