Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior financial leader to design and implement IFRS-compliant policies, oversee financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls across the organisation.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, audit activities, and strategic reporting to the Board, while mentoring the finance team and managing relationships with regulators, auditors, and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and compliance of financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls in line with IFRS and corporate governance standards.
• Oversee financial and accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, general ledger, receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, and financial systems.
• Manage enterprise risk, insurance, tax, and VAT compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and timely reporting.
• Lead audit activities by coordinating with internal and external auditors and ensuring audit effectiveness and compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
• Prepare and present management and Board reports, delivering accurate financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Support investment appraisals, financial due diligence, and strategic exit evaluations for operating assets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, driving employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational change initiatives.
• Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external service providers, regulators, and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with information security, quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) policies and applicable regulations.
