Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks an experienced accounting professional to oversee month-end close, general ledger accuracy, and financial reporting. You will coordinate corporate tax affairs, liaise with the Company Secretary, and prepare audit documentation for the Group.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with professional qualifications a plus, and at least 3 years in accounting, audit or taxation, including liaising with auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/MICPA) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and Companies Act requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Taxation, or related fields.
• Experience in handling full sets of accounts and monthly/year-end closing activities.
• Experience in liaising with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and government authorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the timely closing of accounts for AR, AP, Cash & Bank, and GL.
• Review and ensure all accounting transactions are recorded and posted to the correct accounts.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of financial records for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Coordinate and liaise with external tax agents for corporate tax returns and deadlines.
• Act as liaison with Company Secretary on secretarial matters and statutory compliance.
• Prepare audit schedules, GL reconciliations, and support for balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors to address audit queries.
