Job summary

Talent Recruit in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Assistant Manager for a manufacturing-focused client. You will manage accounting, auditing, taxation and financing, and oversee the Finance Department.

You will coordinate budgeting and financial reporting, oversee cash flow and internal controls, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents and statutory bodies to ensure compliance and smooth operations. Strong leadership and communication skills in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia are

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of audit and/or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing financial operations.
• Excellent written and verbal English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting, auditing, taxation and financing for the Company.
• Monitor day-to-day financial operations and oversee the Finance Department.
• Plan and coordinate finance and administrative tasks such as reporting and budgeting.
• Establish financial policies and review inventory costing.
• Oversee cash flow management and payment/collection schedules.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and statutory bodies.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting.
• Perform other assignments as required by management.

About the job Finance Assistant Manager (Manufacturing Industry)

We are representing our client, a company engaged in marine aquaculture, wholesale of fish and seafood, and management activities of holding companies.

• Working hours: Mon-Fri (8.30am-5.30pm)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages accounting, auditing, taxation and financing for the Company
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company and oversee the Finance Department.
• Plans and coordinates all activities related to finance and administrative task such as financial reporting, budgets preparation, etc. to ensure it is functioning smoothly and efficiently.
• Establish the financial policies of the Company and review the costing system of the inventory.
• Oversee cashflow management of the Company, to monitor payment and collection schedule to achieve efficiency in cash management system.
• Timely liaises with External Auditors, Tax Agents, Bankers, Company Secretaries and Statutory Department for related matters.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting / requirements.
• Perform other assignments and tasks as and when requested by management.

Requirements:

• At least 5 Years of audit working experience in one of the reputable audit firms and/or at least 5 Years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidate possess sound knowledge of manufacturing financial operations will have an added advantage.
• Familiar with Accounting Software
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate confidently, effectively and diplomatically at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Good written and verbal skills in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia.
