Job summary

DP World Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager in Finance to manage accounting operations including full sets of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and statutory compliance for DP World Malaysia and its newly acquired companies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with ACCA/CPA advantageous and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including supervising junior staff and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• ACCA/CPA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Proven experience supervising junior accounting staff and managing full sets of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, SST submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for DP World Logistics Malaysia and acquired entities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and reporting processes.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for DP World Logistics Malaysia.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors to ensure timely audits.
• Manage corporate tax returns, SST submissions with external tax agents.
• Drive implementation of new finance processes and ERP/financial systems.
• Enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
