Job summary

Konica Minolta Business Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites a seasoned finance leader to oversee reporting, compliance, taxation, risk management and internal controls in a multinational environment.

The role requires driving financial performance analysis, managing management reporting to HQ, and guiding staff development while maintaining robust internal controls and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or professional qualification (MIA/MICPA/ACCA) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a multinational company; audit firm experience preferred.
• Strong discipline, attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under stressful situations.
• Strong leadership and communication with all levels.
• Knowledge of Malaysia accounting requirements, tax and Companies Act.
• Be bilingual in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Review the work of subordinates.
• Provide leadership in finance especially in reporting and compliance including taxation, regulatory, budgeting, internal controls, audit and risk management.
• Provide analysis on financial performance and growth opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with auditors, lawyers, tax and government bodies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
• Ensure sound internal controls and accounting system.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
• Direct and manage preparation of management reporting and analytical information for management and corporate office.
• Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor significant risks and drive cost reduction programs.
• Ensure staff are adequately qualified and experienced in their roles.

Job Descriptions

• Review the work of subordinates.
• Provide leadership in all aspects of finance especially in relation to reporting and compliance. This Includes taxation, regulatory, financial planning, capital expenditure control, budgetary control, internal controls, audit and risk management.
• Provide analysis on financial performance and growth opportunities.
• Established and maintain effective relationship with auditors, lawyers, tax and other relevant government bodies.
• Ensure compliance of corporate policies as well s statutory requirements.
• Ensure sound internal controls and accounting system.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
• Direct and manage the preparation of management reporting and analytical information to management and corporate office. Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly and quarterly Management and Accounting reports to Management/Holding Company.
• Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor significant risks as well as drive cost reduction programs
• Ensuring that all staff area adequately qualified and experienced in their relevant discipline to perform the duties in their position in a satisfactory manner.

Job Requirements

• Qualification : Degree in accounting/Professional qualification ie MIA/MICPA/ACCA or equivalent
• Experience : At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar position within a multi-national company. Working experience with audit firms is preferable.
