Job summary

Haleon is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst, Inventory Manufacturing to support site finance activities at PJ Plaza33, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Hybrid working arrangement available.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, costing, variance analysis, inventory and intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, CAPEX, and internal controls. Proactive process improvements and audit support are expected.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Economics, IT or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or equivalent are an added advantage but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting: support monthly close, reporting and commentary for site P&L and balance sheet.
• Manufacturing Costing: assist in standard cost setting, BOM validation and cost estimates for new products or changes.
• Cost & Variance Analysis: prepare cost and variance analysis including material cost, PPV, usage, yield, overhead, efficiency.
• Inventory Finance & Intercompany Accounting: support inventory valuation, intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: prepare reconciliations for inventory, costs, accruals; follow up on open items.
• Forecasting: support site forecast cycles with data and analysis.
• Fixed Asset Accounting & CAPEX: handle capitalization, depreciation, asset transfers and disposals.
• Internal Controls, Audit & Process Improvement: contribute to controls, audits, automation and process improvements.

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Analyst, Inventory Manufacturing to support site finance activities from our PJ Plaza33 office. This role will be responsible for supporting month-end close, financial reporting and commentary, costing and variance analysis, inventory and intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, forecast submissions, fixed asset activities, internal controls, audit support, and process improvement initiatives across manufacturing finance operations. Location: PJ Plaza33, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia Hybrid Working Arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting

• Support the monthly close, reporting and commentary process for manufacturing sites by preparing schedules, reports and analysis for site P&L, Balance Sheet, inventory movements and operational KPIs.

Manufacturing Costing

• Assist in costing activities, including standard cost setting, cost updates, Bill of Materials (BOM) validation, and preparation of cost estimates for new products or process changes.

Cost & Variance Analysis

• Prepare manufacturing cost and variance analysis covering material cost, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), usage variance, yield loss, overhead absorption, production efficiency and other key cost drivers, highlighting key findings for review by senior finance team members.

Inventory Finance & Intercompany Accounting

• Support inventory accounting and intercompany processes, including inventory valuation, stock provisions, transfer pricing, intercompany reconciliations and intercompany profit elimination.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations related to inventory, manufacturing costs, accruals and other site-related accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on open items with proper supporting documentation.
• Support manufacturing site forecast cycles, including preparation of financial data and supporting analysis for forecast submissions.

Fixed Asset Accounting & CAPEX

• Support transactional fixed asset activities, including capitalization, depreciation, impairment review support, asset disposal, asset transfer, asset retirement and fixed asset master data maintenance.

Internal Controls, Audit & Process Improvement

• Contribute to financial controls, audit support, process improvements, automation and business analysis activities, including productivity initiatives, business projects and ad-hoc finance requests.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Economics, IT or a related discipline.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Inventory Finance / Inventory Accounting experience – MANDATORY.
• Mandarin language proficiency – REQUIRED to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and support manufacturing finance operations across the Greater China market.
• Experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), including month-end closing, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting and commentary, inventory-related accounting, intercompany accounting and fixed asset activities.
• Good understanding of manufacturing P&L, inventory accounting, cost accounting, intercompany processes and CAPEX / fixed asset activities.
• Experience in management reporting, financial analysis, month-end closing and accounting support activities.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prepare accurate financial analysis, maintain supporting documentation and follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, process improvement and collaboration across teams.
