Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager in Malaysia to lead the Finance & Accounts function for an EPCC business involved in Solar PV and BESS projects. The role is hands-on, directing key financial activities, supporting senior management, and mentoring a junior finance team to strengthen systems and controls.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting (compulsory).
8–16 years of accounting experience.
Strong hands-on experience managing a full set of accounts.
Solid understanding of management reporting, cash flow, bank reconciliation and statutory compliance.
Experience in project accounting, construction, EPCC or renewable energy is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare and finalise monthly management accounts including P/L, balance sheet and cash-flow reports.
Handle full sets of accounts and maintain the general ledger accuracy.
Manage month-end and quarter-end closing incl. accruals, provisions and depreciation.
Prepare financial analysis, variance reports and management commentary.
Improve the quality and usefulness of financial reporting.
Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flow and profitability.
Prepare and review Work-in-Progress schedules and revenue recognition.
Liaise with banks on overdrafts, facilities and renewals.
Supervise and coach the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
