Job summary

Hong Hin Electrical Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced accountant to handle accounting and finance operations, including invoice processing, bank reconciliation, journal entries, payments, inventory management, and project cost analysis.

You will match invoices, process petty cash, prepare monthly bank statements, enter journal entries, handle subcontractor invoices, perform project cost analysis, manage stock records, liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software (SQL).
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Match sales and purchase invoices against system records and supporting documents.
• Verify, process, and key in petty cash claims into the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Record journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process and key in payment transactions into the accounting system.
• Key in subcontractor invoices, progress claim invoices, and expense invoices.
• Prepare project cost analysis and monitor project-related expenses.
• Perform daily stock in and stock out data entry and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding accounting matters when required.
