Job summary

Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Accounting to oversee core accounting activities, data governance, and close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and internal controls.

You will lead a team, coordinate with external auditors, manage driver master configurations, and drive transformation initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/CPA/ACA is preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or people-management experience.
• Experience in financial services (insurance/banking) is advantageous.
• Audit experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ETL accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities for timely reporting.
• Monitor close timelines, change requests and IT issues; escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with external auditors, Internal Audit and SOX review teams.
• Oversee SUNGL, Oracle and IFRS solution administration, including access reviews.
• Lead and coach team members to resolve recurring accounting issues.
