Job summary

SPEKTRA BUMIMAS SDN BHD in Kuching, Malaysia, seeks an experienced land surveyor to perform setting out, leveling and alignment at project sites, and to establish survey control points for civil works.

You will operate Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, prepare reports and as-built drawings, review drawings for accuracy, and coordinate with site engineers. Opportunities to travel to site locations and contribute to infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Proficient in operating Total Station, Auto Level and GPS/GNSS
• Familiar with surveying software and AutoCAD
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, coordinates and survey data
• Willing to work at project sites and travel when required
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team

Responsibilities

• Carry out land and construction surveys, including setting out, levelling and alignment works at project sites
• Establish and verify survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates and elevations
• Conduct topographical surveys and site measurements to support construction activities
• Perform setting out for roads, drainage, earthworks, structures and other infrastructure components
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS and other relevant equipment
• Prepare survey reports, field notes, measurement records and as-built survey drawings
• Verify construction works against approved engineering drawings, specifications and design coordinates
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Site Supervisors and other project personnel to ensure accurate survey works
• Identify and report any discrepancies between actual site conditions and approved drawings
• Ensure all surveying activities comply with project requirements, quality standards and safety procedures
