Job summary

Company Confidentials is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operation and maintenance of solar PV plants in Malaysia. You will perform PM, troubleshoot electrical issues, and assist engineers during shutdowns, energization, and emergency works.

You must conduct site inspections of PV modules, inverters, cabling, and BOS components, keep logs and reports, and ensure safety procedures and LOTO compliance to protect people and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / STPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical or Renewable Energy.
• GCPV Certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1-3 years working experience in electrical or solar PV related field.

• To ensure all electrical works are performed safely and in compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and electrical troubleshooting for solar PV systems.
• Support engineers during shutdown, energization, and emergency works.
• Conduct site inspections for PV modules, inverters, cabling, and BOS components.
• Record and update maintenance logs, checklists, and incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, and company standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS (BENCHMARKING)

• Achieve plant availability of ≥ 98% annually.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities 100% as per schedule.

QUALIFICATION

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1-3 years working experience in electrical or solar PV related field.

IMPACT OF ERROR
