JS Solar is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Technician (PW4) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Solar PV systems across project sites in Malaysia. You will inspect LV electrical systems, test equipment, and troubleshoot to ensure maximum plant availability, while adhering to ST regulations and HSE standards.
The role requires a PW4 certificate, min 1 year of electrical maintenance experience, and ability to read electrical diagrams.

Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) for Solar PV systems in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule.
Carry out inspection, testing and troubleshooting of LV electrical systems, including ACDB, DCDB, combiner boxes, protection devices and associated electrical equipment.
Operate, inspect and maintain solar inverters, transformers, switchboards and monitoring systems.
Perform fault diagnosis and rectify electrical and system-related issues to ensure maximum plant availability.
Conduct routine inspection of PV modules, mounting structures, cable routing and earthing systems.
Perform electrical testing using appropriate instruments such as insulation resistance tester, clamp meter, multimeter and thermal imaging camera.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and restore system operation within the required Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, company procedures and HSE requirements.
Prepare maintenance reports, inspection checklists and update maintenance records after each service activity.
Report defects, equipment abnormalities and recommend corrective actions to the O&M Engineer or Supervisor.
Support commissioning, performance testing and system improvement activities when required.
Maintain proper housekeeping, tools, test equipment and spare parts inventory at project sites.
Perform any other duties assigned by the O&M Engineer or O&M Assistant Manager.

Education: Minimum SPM/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga Wireman PW4 certificate (mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in electrical maintenance or solar PV system is an advantage.
Knowledge in electrical trouble shooting and maintenance.
Basic understanding of Solar PV systems, inverters, and LV electrical systems.
Able to read electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Willing to work at various project sites throughout Malaysia.
Possess a valid class D driving license.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
