Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to support machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer service activities at customer sites.

The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with at least four years in industrial automation or related fields, and be willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation Technology or related technical field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in industrial automation, machine building, or maintenance field.
• Experience in machine installation and onsite commissioning.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, packaging, medical device, or manufacturing automation industries is preferred.

• Machine Installation & Commissioning at customer sites.
• Perform machine installation, setup, and commissioning.
• Conduct machine alignment, calibration, and performance verification.
• Assist engineers in machine startup and FAT/SAT activities.

Scopes:

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Field Service Technician to support machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer service activities.

The ideal candidate shall possess strong knowledge in both mechanical and electrical systems and be capable of independently handling machine assembly, alignment, wiring verification, troubleshooting, and customer support activities. Experience in industrial automation machinery is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Installation & Commissioning
• Perform machine installation, setup, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Conduct machine alignment, calibration, and performance verification.
• Assist engineers in machine startup and FAT/SAT activities.
• Ensure machines meet customer requirements and production expectations.

Mechanical Support

• Perform mechanical assembly and machine modification works.
• Install and align:Ball Screws, Linear Guides, Conveyors, Pneumatic Systems, Servo Motor Assemblies & Robot End Effectors
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Replace defective mechanical components and perform machine upgrades.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.

Electrical Support

• Perform machine wiring inspection and troubleshooting.

• Respond to customer breakdown calls and service requests.
• Diagnose machine failures and provide immediate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and machine health checks.
• Prepare service reports and technical documentation.
• Conduct operator and maintenance training for customers.
