Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Malaysia to support global customers from Penang. You will install, repair and maintain Lam etch/clean/deposition equipment at customer sites, perform start‑ups and relocations, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electronics/Engineering with 5+ years of experience, strong communication, willingness to travel, and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of experience.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and learning quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to engage customers on technical solutions.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally, with shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install or relocate equipment at customer sites and perform start-up and checkout.
• Provide on-site preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate service actions with customers and suppliers to ensure timely resolutions.
• Record service activities and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
