Sandvik Mining and Construction (M) Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam, Malaysia, seeks a Service Engineer to perform fault finding, installations, repairs and commissioning for customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering prompt, safe solutions while understanding customer needs.

The role involves energy-efficient maintenance, complex troubleshooting, warranty support, and commissioning of new products at customer sites or premises, with up to 50% travel within the region.

Formación

• Qualified technician in mechanics, hydraulics, and electrics.
• Minimum 6 years of Sandvik equipment experience and/or 3 years hands-on experience on hydraulic and electrical systems in heavy construction/mining equipment.
• Proficient knowledge of the mining environment and equipment applications.
• Strong safety culture and customer service focus.
• Proactive, self-motivated with initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt and work in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsabilidades

• Independently conduct advanced inspections, fault finding, installations, repairs, adjustments, fine tuning and commissioning at customer site or on premises.
• Determine the best approach considering energy efficiency, environmental impact and maintenance costs when providing customer support.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs independently and provide technical feedback to TIM/TFM/CPI systems.
• Complete analysis of failed product and report abnormalities to relevant party.
• Operate equipment to test and diagnose issues independently.
• Conduct and support warranty investigations.
• Commission new launch products with different applications and solve related issues.
• Develop routine work procedures according to safety standards.
• Prepare and execute activities in line with EHS and Quality regulations and promote safety.
