Job summary

Sodick Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (Penang) seeks a proactive Service Engineer to visit customer sites, diagnose and repair EDM, wire-cut EDM, and CNC machines. You will install, service, and train customers on proper operation and maintenance, and keep accurate service records.

Respond promptly to technical inquiries, suggest improvements, and collaborate with teams to enhance machine performance. Travel to sites and a valid driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in related field required.
• 2–3 years hands-on EDM/CNC experience.
• Willing to travel to customer sites.
• Valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily service calls and visit customer sites to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform machine installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair work.
• Conduct customer training on proper machine operation and maintenance procedures.
• Respond promptly to customers’ technical enquiries and service requests, providing effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service records and prepare reports on technical issues, repairs performed, and machine performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve machine performance and collaborate with relevant teams on problem-solving.
• Provide professional and timely after-sales technical support to customers.
