Veolia Water Tech in Malaysia seeks a field service engineer based in Bintulu to service accounts, perform water analyses, monitor chemical systems and troubleshoot field issues to ensure customer satisfaction and reliable Veolia support.

The role requires a chemical engineering or applied chemistry degree with 3–5 years in water treatment, including cooling, boiler, RO membranes and wastewater monitoring; own transport and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or applied chemistry from an accredited university.
• Water treatment or water chemistry experience is an added advantage.
• 3–5 years in water treatment, especially in petrochemical/oil & gas.
• Experience with cooling, boiler, RO membranes and wastewater monitoring.
• Own transport and a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Maintain Veolia Water Tech reputation at customer level.
• Ensure accounts are serviced at the prescribed frequency; conduct water analysis, check chemical systems, troubleshoot and provide field services.
• Maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction to prevent complaints.
• Interface with key customers to align Veolia products and services with customer objectives.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries about orders, acknowledgements, PO amendments, and alterations.
• Support the commercial team in sales activities.
• Develop product and system knowledge; perform preventive troubleshooting and provide technically correct recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with Area/Account Manager about personal, business and training needs.
• Maintain chemical inventories to prevent outages at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• To ensure a good Veolia Water Tech reputation at the customer level.
• To ensure that all assigned accounts are serviced at the prescribed frequency. Services work includes conducting water analysis, ensuring chemical injection systems are in good conditions, providing troubleshooting support and other field-related services assigned to the field representative.
• To maintain a high standard of service and customer satisfaction so that no customer complaints originate because of poor quality service.
• Interface primarily with assigned key customers for all matters concerning Veolia products and services and total support. Ensuring that both customer and Veolia objectives are met.
• Respond to all customer inquires in a timely manner on the processing of customer orders, acknowledgements, Purchase Order amendments, and alteration notification.
• To support commercial team in sales activities
• To develop product application knowledge and system knowledge. To ensure that preventive troubleshooting is adequately performed in all accounts and that only technically correct recommendations are made to clients.
• To acquire necessary communication and organizational skills. To maintain effective communication with the Area or Account Manager so that they are continually aware of all personal, business and training requirements.
• To maintain all chemical inventories up to date so that product outage does not occur at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in chemical engineering or applied chemistry. Any water treatment or water chemistry working experience will be an added advantage.
• At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in the water treatment industries especially at petrochemical plant or oil & gas related industry
• Has experience in cooling, boiler, RO membrane and wastewater treatment monitoring and chemical application
• Possess an own transport (car) and a valid driver's Licenses and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• To be based in Bintulu
