Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Brisbane to deliver on-site technical support, maintenance and repair of major diagnostic equipment across Queensland and interstate territories. You will be the customer-facing expert ensuring equipment uptime and regulatory-compliant service delivery.

We value hands-on engineers with a degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's welcomed), a valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel.

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree is a plus; valid Australian driver’s license and travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on major diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain a strong customer-facing presence by visiting client sites regularly.
• Manage service territory primarily in Queensland with interstate travel as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisor and service team to share insights and coordinate scheduling.
• Document service activities and interventions in compliance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.

Role Mission

As a Field Service Engineer based in Brisbane, your mission will be to provide high-quality on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our specialized laboratory and medical instrumentation across Queensland and interstate territories. You will serve as the primary customer‑facing technical expert, ensuring equipment reliability and maximizing customer satisfaction within hospitals and laboratories.

What your responsibilities will be

• You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on major diagnostic equipment, including the Grifols Panther, Xpress, Erytra, and Eflexis platforms.
• You will maintain a strong customer‑facing presence, visiting client sites approximately 4 times a week to ensure high instrument uptime and address technical issues promptly.
• You will manage your service territory (primarily Queensland with occasional interstate travel to New South Wales), balancing regular travel requirements with efficient service delivery.
• You will collaborate closely with your Supervisor and the broader service team to share technical insights, coordinate scheduling, and maintain high standards of teamwork.
• You will document all service activities, maintenance reports, and technical interventions accurately in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.

• Experience & Skills: Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within a medical, hospital, or laboratory environment. A strong technical passion for instruments and servicing complex machinery.
• Mindset: Highly energetic, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and a dedicated team player with excellent customer‑facing communication skills.
• Education & Qualifications: A degree or background in Electrical Engineering (or a Master's degree) is highly regarded but not mandatory. A valid Australian driver’s license and the flexibility to travel across assigned territories are required.
