Job summary

Sorento Sdn Bhd is hiring an Assistant Sales Executive in Penang. The role focuses on field-based follow-up, paperwork, and operations coordination to support the Central Regional Head in winning and growing customer relationships.

You will visit sites, prepare and collect signed orders, invoices, and receipts in person, and coordinate with installation teams to ensure smooth handovers. Strong communication in English/Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years' experience in sales coordination, sales support, or customer service.
• Able to work outfield most of the day visiting customers and sites.
• Own vehicle and valid driving license are essential.
• Proactive, well-organised and able to handle multiple deals while on the move.
• Strong follow-up discipline and face-to-face engagement for payments and documentation.
• Good English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
• A team player who collaborates with sales and operations.

Responsibilities

• Site-based follow-up visiting customers to check quotations and collect signatures.
• Prepare, deliver and collect signed orders, contracts, quotations and invoices in person.
• Follow up overdue payments and collect documentation; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with operations/installation teams at project sites.
• Maintain a live deal status log from lead to completion.
• Provide regular pipeline, collection, and project-status updates.
• Attend customer meetings with the Central Regional Head when helpful.
